I’ve picked up a gig where I will be streaming myself playing music live, but after realizing that streaming while actively making a beat in Logic Pro would could probably crash it, I dusted off my 2 in 1 ASUS Transformer T100 for streaming the music production.
As pictured above, the idea is that I want all of my sound from my MacBook Air (playing Music and Logic, and also connected to my speaker via splitter) to be sent to my 2 in 1 ASUS PC. My main problem is that I’m not sure how to connect the two computers so that the ASUS PC will recognize the input from the MacBook. The squiggly oval with the upside down T is a USB mic, which I would be able to connect to the ASUS PC for commentary, but other than that, I’m stuck.
What I do know is that the ASUS PC accepts input and output via headphone jack, and as far as I know, so does the MacBook Air, though I don’t have any cords that have 3 ring connectors.
Can anybody help?

Is Spotify Live now a thing?

I wish haha. It’s a company called SonicBox.com, Owned by Docler Media. My friend suggested it since I couldn’t find marketing work in LA, so I checked out their craigslist ad looking for featured talent to promote their site. At first I thought it was sketchy, but I’m pretty desperate for work these days. It’s $15/hr. plus I can work from home.

Just place a DAC in the right place and you should be done I think. It would be digital to analog to digital to analog, but should be doable with cheap DACs.

Thanks for this, I’ll make sure to try this method out.

Np. I think a simpler solution would be to just use the Mac. If it cant do it then at least plug the mic into the Mac, so all input is in one place. Then use a cheap ~60$ mixing board to send signals to amp and Asus. Don’t forget monoprice for cables.

I can try that. I’m just afraid that my Mac would crash due to producing a score or beat live in Logic Pro X while streaming on the same Mac. Using the ASUS was just so I could offload some of the burden from the Mac.

Yeah. Can you put it under load before you have to do it for real? When I build a new server/san it’s stress tested for a while to make sure it doesn’t fall down.

Well good news is that, when I tested the stream in Open Broadcaster Software, there doesn’t seem to be any stress or dropped frames from what I can tell. However, now the software they want us to use to stream will not work due to it not recognizing flash plugin, though I have flash installed. this is all happening on OS X.
I’m going to email tech support on their end to assist me, but I really appreciate your help!
